In fact for characters with a character customization, I generally choose female. People regularily misgender me because I use profile pictures of characters I like(or when they make a funny face that'd be funny to have as a profile picture) and I don't play games for what character you play as. ![]() Originally posted by Voshra:and to the rude people in the thread, would you like it if I referred to you by the opposite gender? if I forced you to play a character you don't relate to/view as yourself in games with character creation?I wouldn't really care. Honestly I wish more devs would do nonbinary or genderless options as it shouldn't matter but making a character relatable to everyone vs only some is always going to get more sales in most genres. It's easier to put yourself in a character's shoes and pretend that character is indeed you, when the game doesn't insist you are a specific gender that you're not. ![]() I hope you enjoy Kitaria Fables! Thank you! I'm still perturbed as to why so many early reviewers referred to the character as male though, honestly I hope this thread convinces more people to buy the game as pretty much every game I follow always has people asking this specific question at some point.Īnd to the rude people in the thread, would you like it if I referred to you by the opposite gender? if I forced you to play a character you don't relate to/view as yourself in games with character creation?
